Out of the 12 Jyotirlingas, the 12 Jyotirlingas Baba Baidyanath Temple and all the temples in its premises have mythological importance. After Baba, the most important among them is the worship of Maa Parvati. Where devotees stand in queues for hours to worship Maa Parvati. Maa Shakti is seated along with Baidyanath Jyotirlinga because the heart of Maa Sati fell here. This temple was built by former Sardar Panda Late Shri Shri Ratnapani Ojha between 1701 and 1710. This temple has the importance of Shakti along with Shiva. The length of Maa Parvati temple is about 65 feet and the width is about 35 feet.

According to tradition, there is a tradition of joining the peak of Baba Baidyanath temple and Maa Parvati temple by tying them with sacred threads. This tradition is called the alliance or alliance of Shiva and Shakti. The scriptures also describe the tradition of joining the peak of Baba Baidyanath temple and Maa Parvati temple with threads. The alliance ritual is considered very important for married couples. In Hindu rituals, there is a tradition of tying Rakshasutra on the occasion of marriage. It is believed that this bond gives freedom to the bride and groom from every crisis and the life of both is under a protective shield. This is the reason why the devotees reaching Baba Baidyanath Dham complete this ritual to make their married life efficient and auspicious. Despite the huge crowd in the Shravani fair, the devotees are completing this ritual.

The Tirthpurohit of Baba Baidyanath Dham tells that by doing this alliance, every wish is fulfilled and after the wish is fulfilled, then the alliance ritual is performed. With this ritual, the wish of having a child is also fulfilled. Married life is happy and safe. Only after this puja the worship and ritual of Manokamnalinga is completed.
